Ever since I was a little girl playing in the dirt and playing with my race cars was what I did. I had Barbie dolls too but their cars were considered race cars. I used to cut water bottles and old baseball cards and put them on my bicycles and made it sound like a motor. I tried to convince my parents to let me run cages karts but they said no, we don’t have the knowledge or the extra funds to do it. After being disappointed for so many years that I couldn’t race, I found a way to build a sprint car at the end of my junior year of high school. I spent my weekends at the track on Friday and Saturdays helping and learning the basics. My Fridays before going to the Grove was at the public auction house buying box slots to resell the items Sunday at Williams Grove flea market. All my money went towards the car I wanted to build for my senior project to be able to graduate high school. My mom always said just because your building that car doesn’t mean you're going to race it, I would just laugh and continue on. I then got a few sponsors that wanted to help me out. After the car was built a few sponsors helped me get the car rolling. I borrowed a buddy of mines trailer to get started and I bought my own truck to be sure to have something to pull it. 6 years ago today, I had my first race ever at Trail-way Speedway. I’ve had 2 crew members stand by me since day one Kathy and Don Kimmey as well as Shawn Norris who has always been a massive help, my dad who has learned a ton. The last time he worked on a car was with the original black bandit, Steve Smith. I truly can’t thank everyone enough who has supported me on this journey since day one. Between sponsoring, helping at the shop or track, supporting us week in and week out. Hopefully, the victory we’ve been seeking is shortly approaching. We will keep plugging away as a team to get there. Again, thank you all for the support. Especially my awesome sponsors through the years, couldn't do it without you all. Forever thankful for my fans as well.
